820 Cracked Screen #fail

GG and generic glasses are the same. Absolutely the same. But GG have a strong trademark, thats the only difference.

I've seen a GG glass scratched and even broken (old Lumia 710 from my father, Lumia 720 from a forum's friend). And no scratched or broken glass on generic glasses, like my two lasts smartphones (Focus Flash and Lumia 820) and many others.

In my experience GG is bull___. Same protection, but much more expensive.

yep! speaking of it, at least GG1, it was just insanely soft. almost impossible to break since it flexes a lot, but extremely sensitive to scratches

I had the an exactly same situation you described in your post last evening and planning to take it to nokia centre today. It started getting blue from the top right corner and started growing.

So did you get your handset's screen replaced ?? is it fine now ??.... but 4.5 K is too much for a screen, isn't it ??? (you get a basic android phone in that price range..

THE IMPACT :
My Phone a fall from 1 feet and the impact was taken by the upper right corner , beginning there was no problem. After about 2 hours i notice the screen had turned black around the upper right corner . The darkening gradually encroached the whole screen in matter of a few hours. At first the screen turned blue then started becoming fade . I could use the touch screen even after the fall so i guess the digitizer was normal .

Today i took to the retailer (nokia care center) i had bought the phone from .The person there was really friendly and help me with concern as my phone was not even a month old . So this afternoon i dropped the phone screen replacement at 2 pm and he told me he ll deliver it today evening by 7 pm .Nokia is just charging me in around $80 (rs 4500) for the screen as well as labor. Would post back once i get the phone back.
