920 Battery Sudsenly Fails

This has come up, before, but I am wondering if anyone has figured it out.

My 920 goes along, wonderfully, for days and then, for some reason, the battery goes flat within a few hours, while not in use. I put it down, last night with 100% charge and it was dead this morning. There are some suspicions that it is a runaway app, but I have never been able to identify one. If I go into the 8.1 battery app, it shows little usage as it appears that it resets when the phone reboots.

Your suspicions are right, probably an app that either didn't get closed correctly or locked up hard and the phone is trying to recover it.

Usually if you catch it, a soft reset will fix the issue, but hard to catch when you're asleep. So stop sleeping!
