925 Likely going back - WI-FI Sharing Not Working

As indicated in some other posts, I purchased a 925 for $250 dollars from QVC. As a current Blackberry user I'm open to change. I like the 925 form, weight, feels good in hand, speaker phone, the OS is easy, quick, etc. The deal breaker for me is that WIFI sharing is not working as expected. Once Wi-Fi sharing is enable and I try to connect with my work assigned Win 7 laptop, the laptop crashes with a BSOD. (Blue Screen of Death) Multiple attempts.... 15 + tries.

I have no such problem when connecting with my 7 year old mac book pro laptop. First attempt no issues at all. (Works with mac, not windows)

Is anyone aware of Wi-Fi sharing problem? Any solutions?

Perhaps this should be posted in another forum.

Thanks in advance!

So I did some research. By enabling FIPS in advanced the properties setting on the wireless connection, WiFi sharing appears to be working.

Hi, I posted couple reply to your post about the negegg 925. I did the same and ordered the 925 from HSN. I am a .net developer and want to do some windows phone app and I will need to unlock the phone.
That post is few days old, you may not reading that thread anymore. Can you help me so i know what I am getting?
1. Is Phone brand new
2. You mentioned it needs activation code from Simply Wireless. How can I unlock it in the future?
3. Is it a no contract phone from T-Moblie?

I'll answer to stay off-topic ;)
1. Yes, its new.
2. Simply Wireless is just where Newegg and HSN has phones shipped from. You don't need anything from the,
3. Its no contract, but it is locked. T-Mobile will unlock it for you after 40 days of T-Mobile service. T-Mobile has 30 day month to month plans for $30 (unlimited text and data and 100 minutes talk). Or you can pay a 3rd party for an unlock code.

Wow, that is good deal for just $30 a month for unlimited data. I will check it out when the phone arrives. Thank you for your help.
