925 US Release Date News

Hmm. According to those specs, though, the rm-893 doesn't have the 1700 band for HSPA+. The RM-910 does. Could the model that recently passed through the FCC be the t-mobile variant?

Right, but almost everybody here knows that the RM-910 is the T-mobile version of the device and it has the 1700 band HSPA+ radio and the US LTE bands. You could have called me and I could have told you the same thing as a guess. "It might be the addition of the 1700 band" Only thing is they've already added that band on the Rogers 920 and the 928, so it shouldn't be too difficult to add it on.

Who knows, though. Like I said, I hope he knew something nobody else knows.
I don't know that. It clearly states on the Nokia dev pages that RM-893 is the US variant. It also supports 1700 and tmo LTE.

Ya the more I dig the more I wanna believe the guy I spoke to. Seems dead on with the numbers. So if this really is the case then hopefully it passes and its done fast. He also stated that the UK version unlocked or not wouldn't work without having the 1700 and since it clearly doesn't overseas we are double screwed here waiting.

Ok, so I did some digging and found out that the AT&T and Rogers 920s were the same model number (RM-820) even though the Rogers version had a pentaband radio in it

That said, I was wrong. The 893 will be the TMO variant, but will have the 1700 HSDPA+ band added.

Looks more and more like this tech support guy might be right. I'm sorry for being negative.

No worries. Can't blame someone for being skeptical with all the miss info flying out there. I wonder if any moderators will see this and maybe put an article up about it. At least get the info out for people to know what the hold up is you know.

Wow! The delay is due to T-Mobile or carrier and anyone that think it is Nokia; needs to straight up!
