Not a rant post, just more a reminder. We have only 8 days of service left if we have AT&T as the provider for our secondary sim. There are areas in Austin TX that only get Edge signal, so I don't know wtf they were thinking with this decision.

AT&T announced years ago that as of Dec 31 2016 they are decommissioning their 2G/EDGE network. Not much else to say. If you are using dual sim with the secondary(non data) sim, you are screwed.

Wow. So a non-data second SIM can only access 2G/Edge? This I didn't know ... dang.

Verizon will do the same in a few years or so, late 2019 I think.
