A little battery comparison-8.1 vs 10

I have two brand new 640's. One with 8.1 and the other with the latest build of 10 from today. Both were completely charged and had the same settings. I played the same one hour video on both of them. The one with 8.1 had 89% battery remaining. The one with 10 had 88% battery remaining. When I have more time I will do a more comprehensive test, but it seems that battery life is very similar based on this little unscientific test.

Just like Laura i'm curious to see how two will turn up to be too.

I upgraded to WM10 3-4 months ago, and i can tell you, so far, battery life is a bit worse on WM10, and it definetly warms my phone more frequently. But still, i'm hugely interesnted in your little experiment and it's final results, 'cause you know, i may have the placebo effect

P.S. Researching one thing in different situations and scenarios, while taking notes of your findings, and having a control group to compare is science indeed. So it is scientific experiment or test if you wish.

If i were, i'd wait either of the next build to be released or eventualy for the official release. 'Cause this one seems to have some annoying issues.

A new build, 10586.29, came out yesterday in the Insiders program. The email I got mentioned some small improvements based upon feedback from 950 users, and it also enabled more phones for the insider program. It had a list of 20 or so things, but they didn't really mean anything to me.

Mine updated overnight, doesn't seem any different.

I did another video test (video is all I have time for right now. When I have more time I'll do a mixture of things). This time was 3 hours and forty-five minutes. The WP8.1 was at 72% and the WP10 was at 69. The WP8.1 has an edge, but it seems that with the latest update that they are closer. I'll update as soon as I have time for comprehensive test. I have to get it done before Christmas because one of the phones is a gift for a kid.
