A lot of apps are missing from "My Library" with 10.0.14393.5,, is it by design or a bug ?

Hello,

After using 10586 builds I upgraded my 640 to 10.0.14393.5. After the upgrade I did a full hard reset, but not I can't see a lot of my apps for re-install under "My Library". When I search for a missing app it doesn't say "You own it", but allows me to purchase it (either "free" or for a fee). Some of the unlisted apps are not unreachable at all, as I can't search for them.

I have a spare 635 with 10586 build and I can see them just fine, and it knows I already paid for them.

Is it a known bug, by design or just a glitch with my installation ?

update store first and then check for those apps again

did you account finish syncing? The MS account you used to log in

I have the latest version, it's 11606.1001.39.0
(What's weird is that the PC RS1 version of the store, 11607.1001.32.0 does show these apps)

I think so, it's been 48 hours now. I also tried to log out and in again using that MS account.

Even when I'm searching for some apps, I can't find them, Searching for "IMDb" doesn't show up the imdb app.

Running Windows 10 Mobile build 10.0.14393.189 and I'm also experiencing this issue. And yes, I also enabled Show hidden apps.

In my case, dozens upon dozens of apps that I originally purchased/downloaded on Windows Phone 8.x are missing. Tallying it all up, it's about a hundred apps total.

I can manually search the Windows 10 Mobile store for these apps, of course. The bigger issue, though, is that every paid app but one that I looked up in the store that I had previously purchased is displaying a Buy button in place of a Download button.

In other words, the Windows 10 Mobile store doesn't seem to know that I own these apps.

And like elangab, the desktop Store app does appear to list these apps in my Library (in my case still running PC build 10586).

Consider most of win8.1 apps are totally different from 10 version (e.g. Accuweather, Facebook...) and not all developers automatically redeem previous purchases after doing a complete new app rewriting

1. But Windows Phone 8.x apps do run on Windows 10 Mobile. I'm running some of them (including ones I ran on my old phone) on my Windows 10 Mobile phone now.

2. There's a "Doesn't work on this device" section in the W10M Store library. The missing apps aren't listed there; it seems to only be populated with Store apps lacking a Mobile variant. But the missing Windows Phone 8.x apps are listed in the incompatible section of the desktop Windows 10 Store library. Figure that one out. At least that proves I still own them and they're still present in the store, so it can't be an issue of developers doing re-writes and not grandfathering old licenses.

3. Besides all that, I've got a hundred missing apps. Have most of those developers really done a complete Windows 10 re-write?

Really, I don't think you can't say a hundred apps missing from a user's mobile store library, with nearly every single paid app that was checked requiring re-purchase when accessed on the mobile store, isn't a serious bug.

Could be a glitch. Happened on my 925 too, I had to remove the phone from apps and games list on my account, did a hard reset on the phone again and that worked.

Thanks for the comment. A hard reset does seem to have fixed this issue for me (I didn't remove the phone from the apps and game list, just did the hard reset alone).
