Battery has gone back to what was when it was first released as Dp8.1 but 1st update solved the problem and the 2nd update(yesterday's update) again took it back to same level Also the screen has started to freeze often now.

I noticed that when calling someone, the Skype Video button in-call is now active. Previously, it was always grayed out. With the latest update, this finally works.

Not new to this, done that. One thing I did notice that could be something good is I have an extra bar of wifi power. Gonna watch that.
Edit: So far lock screen lag to wake up is gone when I have wifi on. Gonna be liking that although I'm going to wait and see if it holds. Battery is down 11% in 15 minutes. Sure hope this straightens out. Gonna recheck all my background stuff. Wish I could turn off cortana and get quiet hours. She's a pretty worthless biatch to me at this point. Potential? Yes. There yet? NO.
Edit: Figured it was to good to be true. I retract what I said about the wifi. No better signal and still laggy waking up from lock screen.

I've had issues with laggy wake up from lock screen as well and it turns out what it was is for some reason when I had my brightness set to automatic, it would take an extra few seconds to light up. If I had it set to lie-high, it was instant. I kept it one manual settings for a day util I realized my gf's 920 was on automatic with no issues, so I switched mine back and it works like a charm now! Hope it helps you!

Scrolling getting registered as taps happen on the 1020 as well. I can't tell you how many times I've scrolled through instagram and it registers a tap on some random tag. Pretty frustrating!

If I had it set to lie-high, it was instant. I kept it one manual settings for a day util I realized my gf's 920 was on automatic with no issues, so I switched mine back and it works like a charm now! Hope it helps you!

Interesting. First I've heard of the auto brightness being tied to the lock screen wake up lag. I don't use the auto setting ever. I find it's the wifi that does it for my icon. Turning it off fixes the issue completely.

Hey mate, with all the settings same and the time of using it was also similar,the battery performance was something extremely different then everyday. So don't you think we could know them pretty fast.!! :straight:
Between it was at night time here in our country and before going to sleep I keep the charge at 100% and the battery level dropped drastically from 100% to 49% within 8 hours. :unhappysweat: And with same settings the day before it went down just 4% so don't you think that is a hell lot of difference. :eck:

Hi there I have a L620 with WP 8.1 Update 1 installed but my battery life seems to be usually 1 day 9 hours, it was 1 day 22 hours on WP 8 , and I also did not saw any battery improvements after WP 8.1 update 1 , should I do a hard reset , have any other L620 owners experienced problems after a hard reset with WP 8.1 installed?? please reply...

That's odd I could toggle mine off and on in the quick launch buttons......I've used it in the movie theater just last weekend. Maybe it was set up differently on the icon

It's possible. I've read other posts that mention something that they can do, but when I try on my Icon it's not there, and vice versa. My WP experience only goes as far back as the 928 I had before I got the Icon. Previous to that I was an Android user (all Samsung Galaxy phones).

Hard resetting may or may not solve your issues... personally i don't know how L620 battery life is as i am with a charger all the time...1 day 9 hours is a good battery life for a smartphone i suppose...and if ua phone doesn't have any other issues except less battery time, just be glad.....or u can downgrade to window 8...

You need to turn on Cortana. Which only works if your language is set to English (United States).

Exactly, I noticed the same thing on my Lumia 920. Battery life is back to it's original state, whereas in the first update, it increased dramatically.
