A new update 8.10.1293.890

Hopefully this fixes the bug that makes my phone catch fire.

I have to douse it with water, but then it stops working for a while.

*crosses fingers*:winktongue:

Pulling it down now for my 920, I sure hope it fixes the headphone issue (right ear cutting out) and only way to fix is a power off/on.

Doesn't seem to resolve my touch issue. It still recognizes my scroll gesture as a tap on my 1520.

Of course. It will require a firmware update to fix this.

And for all of those who keep getting "your device is up to date":

launch the preview for developers app and check if the checkbox is still marked. I've had it happen once or twice that it was unchecked for some reason, which caused my device to believe there wasn't any update available.

Really?? I wanted to say that touch seems way better on my 920...

The 920 never had that issue. The 1520 is overly sensitive and happens to recognize swipe gestures as touch events, thus accidentally launching apps when the user is just trying to swipe up or down (and on other occasions as well).

What's new in this update?

I saw someone claiming that Quiet Hours are no longer bound to Cortana. But I'm not going to believe it until I've seen it with my own eyes. :) Considering the rather tiny size of the update (around 30MB or so), I assume it's "only" bugfixes.

Thanks for the post, updating my Lumia 920. Was eagerly reading all your post just to know that none of us have found any thing new on this update :crying:  anyways "I feel kinda happy whenever I see that there is an update for my phone" nothing else can replace that happiness

Yeah.. Reminds me of the good old times when I used to flash my beloved HTC HD2 with new Windows Mobile ROMs every 2 or 3 days, just to see the version number increase a bit. :D

Downloading now on my L920 and seeing how fast it downloaded, i would say its a pretty small one either that or Sky out of goodwill; magically have upgraded my line to the top tier fibre broadband package
