A new update 8.10.1293.890

After the upgrade, I got a message saying there was a problem with the podcasts app and an update for that app may be available.

Did anyone get this message?

Podcasts app is currently not available in store.

Works fine on mine... Play To still appears to be broken though.

nothing new. they did say that features are locked as is until GDR anyway. I'm guessing this is more bug fixes and optimizations

I think I had some issues with the update on my 920.

After the phone was finished updating I got the screen saying that the update was complete. However, most of my apps are blacked out and say 'installing'. They are all progressing quite slowly.

When I go to the phone update section it says 'The update couldn't be completed. (80070098). When I check the OS version it does indicate that it was updated and shows 8.10.12393.890.

The boot screen still shows the Blue windows logo on my phone as well.

When the phone finishes loading after a power on or a reset, the speaker makes a clicking sound even if the volume is all the way down.

My phone says that the update was complete. But I'm also getting the "installing" for the vast majority of my apps.

The app installing seems to be normal - mine did it as well to no ill effect.

Did a soft reset after all the apps were installed and it now says that your phone is up to date

On my HTC 8X I had the message that a few apps are installing. That only took a few seconds though. And the 8X doesn't have an SD card

Recently updated and battery is dropping like a rock. IE is kind of laggy and Cortana still runs quiet hours. Phone is staying warm also. This is exactly what happened with the last minor update, so if it(battery) doesn't settle down after a reasonable amount of time I'll be hard resetting again as I did the last time to get it right again. Not sure what this update changes or adds. I've found nothing worthwhile yet. Really wanted to get quiet hours away from Cortana. Oh well.

Not new to this, done that. One thing I did notice that could be something good is I have an extra bar of wifi power. Gonna watch that.
Edit: So far lock screen lag to wake up is gone when I have wifi on. Gonna be liking that although I'm going to wait and see if it holds. Battery is down 11% in 15 minutes. Sure hope this straightens out. Gonna recheck all my background stuff. Wish I could turn off cortana and get quiet hours. She's a pretty worthless biatch to me at this point. Potential? Yes. There yet? NO.
Edit: Figured it was to good to be true. I retract what I said about the wifi. No better signal and still laggy waking up from lock screen.

I've never seen it go over 1. Lol. Even when I was setting up my 1520 and had like 15-20 downloads pending. I don't really care, but...

The status bar is constantly showing now whereas in some cases for example in MyTube before, it dissapeared. Not sure if this is a pro or a con...
Edit: Not that I take a closer look, in the WPCentral app it dissapeared... Oh well, apparently it's still app specific...

After downloading the update my 1520 switched itself off and I had to restart it again myself and then it installed the update fine.

you could do that for awhile now, got annoying cuz cortana would mess up what i said and turn of wifi a few times for me
