A Q, synced my WP8 phone with Exchange 2010?

Afternoon,

created EAS policies and got a device to set up for Outlook from Exchange. Got a Q, how do i use the windows phone store with an exchange account, the same account that has been synced to the phone? Please do not say that every user i set up requires a Hotmail account.

Every user requires a Live account. Just like every iPhone user needs an Apple ID and every Droid user needs a Google account. Smartphones are consumer devices first.

oh okay, so all my users must have a Live account before anything can be downloaded. Shyt

is there a way where i can install free apps like PDFreader to the phone without logging into the windows store? maybe through the usb connection. Phone used HTC 8X phone

There's nothing preventing you from creating microsoft accounts for your corporate email addresses and signing them into the phone as part of the setup process.

Maybe not ideal, but an option.

That is correct, and even then the users still need to setup the device with a live/hotmail/outlook.com account in order to activate them.

I use my primary email account (On an exchange server) as my Microsoft account. I created the account back in the passport.net days but you definitely should be able to sign up and use an existing email.
