It would be nice if there was an option just to enable the action center to come down instead of the whole shade. There's already an option in notifications+action center to disable notifications while the screen is unlocked.

Just drag down 1/8 down. It will stop and just show the action center.

To get app notifications in the notification center, the app must push a toast notification before it's enabled in the settings of the action center. At least that is how my phone is working, apparently.

Yeah, I know that. You have to do it carefully though or else the whole shade will drop down. It would be better if a short swipe down from the top would just drop down the action center.
