Activating a 1520 without SIM Card

I just got my 1520 tonight and I'm trying to set up my 1520 and its not allowing me to log into my Microsoft account presumably without a SIM card present? Can you login to a Microsoft account without a sim card?

Yes, I haven't activated mine and could log into my account. I'm using this as a 6 inch on the go tablet.

Its giving me it can't find good reception messages when I try to sign in. I have no idea why.

It says can't connect. Perhaps Microsoft's servers are having issues?

Try going to the Cellular setting and turning off the data connection.

Factory resetting the phone allowed me to sign in. How odd. Thanks!

This issue is caused by the system time and date

Without the SIM card it thinks it's 1970. Just manually change the time and date in settings and it will work.
