Add new alerts for new Text or IM

I use my phone for on call purposes for work. Well the built in alerts for the Lumia 900 are on the quiet side. I found apps to download new ringtones and I assumed they would carry over to the alerts area but did not. Anyone find a app that will add new ones? I need something loud and obnoxious to wake me up at night since I'm a heavy sleeper...

im pretty sure you CANT.

I got some ring tones as well and I see them in my ALARM section but not int he ALERT section... im pretty sure you limited to Phone calls+alarms for custom tones for now.

Custom alert tones are not possible. At least not yet.

This is in my top 3 most annoying things. Right behind folders and being able to choose more than 1 picture at a time. I have to believe we'll get custom alert options sometime in the future. All the stock ones are just gross.
