After 10 years Norton Anti-Virus still does this...

Ha, yeah. I had one a long time ago and it was crap, but that was so long ago and I was hoping they had gotten their act together by now. Apparently not...

I just bought a Lenovo Yoga 11S, so that's what I'm now using as my mobile platform, and the HP laptop is now a desktop replacement. There are a few problems with the HP.

First, it is a touch screen, and with a touch screen you expect people to touch the screen, right? Maybe a good idea to strengthen the hinge and hinge mounts? I've taken my laptop apart and filled the area the hinges mount to with epoxy. Then that broke, tried a few other things, and in the end, I now have longer screws coming outside the case, with washers to give them more bite.

Second, you can blow the dust out all you want, but you're not going to get all of it. I was having overheating problems, and I took it apart to find that the dust collects in a place where you have to actually remove the heat sink from the processor in order to get the dust out. You can't expect a consumer to do that! That's just plain lousy design.
