After hard reset on 1020 my phone is branded to vodafone

Hello,

I did a hard reset on my 1020 because I was not able to install the Denim update. It resultet in 8018830f message.

I did the hard reset with Lumia Software Recovery Tool but know my phone is branded with vodafone.

I bought my phone unbranded on amazon. How can I remove this brand?

I dont know why I get a feeling that the LSRT got you the wrong product code for your phone. If it is a country variant it should have stayed a country variant. In the about section of your phone settings can you find out what does it say under the operator!

I have never used latest LSRT before to reinstall, I used NSRT a patched version which downloads a firmware when you enter product code and flashed the phone from a HK variant to AU variant.

I ask that because the only way the branding would be on the device is if it's a Vodafone variant.

What does LSRT mean?

The Mobile Operator is VOD-IT. The Manufacture Name is RM-875-eu_italy_216 which is also wrong. As I can remeber the Manufacture Name was before the reset something like RM-875-hong_kong. I bought the mobile phone on amazon and the shop sent the handy from the uk, So I can only guess if someone else used the handy before.

The fact that it's now showing RM-875-eu_Italy_216 tells me that whoever had the phone last used some kind of hack like fiddler to spoof another region on the device and since the factory reset sets everything back to default it has reverted to its default region.

That would also explain the error code you got when you tried to install Denim.
