After update store update notification not working

after recent updates I no longer get the notification for store update. Have to rely on sys app pusher or wpcentral news to identify updates.

Has anyone seen this?

do a soft reset!! i.e restart. hope it works!!

I had this happen on my Lumia 920. I did the link below and they started showing up again.
Luma 720 no app updates - Microsoft Community
