Allow access to locatio

When downloading most apps, there is a prompt to allow access to your location. I never really worry about this because i know that developers like to add value to apps with local customisations and collecting user data. But i have noticed new windows phone users especially from older generations find this request for location quite threatening.

I would like to see Microsoft make this location message as clear as possible to ensure these new smartphone users aren't afraid to download an app when it is actually no threat to them.

Any suggestions clarifications?

According to Microsoft';s guidelines, they suggest that you explain which features you require for what purposes if they are not self explanatory. But people seldom follow it. I totally agree with you, but unfortunately it lies in the hands of the developers. Maybe Microsoft should make a check that any app without those details cannot be published until the details are filled.
