Android app on Windows 10 Mobile

I know that the ability to install Android apps on W10M was removed a while back... but has anyone figured out a way to turn it back on? And if not, is there a way to go back to that version of W10M so that we can install them?

Also if you had already installed Android apps, did they disappear when you upgraded to the next version of W10M or are they still there?

1. It's not a matter of "finding" the files and turning them on, the machinery hasn't just been turned off, it's been turned off and carted out of the building to destination unknown.

2. You can't go back, also, I'm not sure the unreliability of it and whatnot is worth going back.

3. I don't know, but either way they aren't going to work.
