Animated Gifs and native WP messenger?

So Android has animated GIF capabilities for text messaging. On WP, gifs work in browser but not in messaging. 3rd party app needed? Nothing like texting friends with gifs instead of words to show how you really feel lol.

I'm also curious about this. It's annoying when friends send me gifs and all I get is a picture
