There are many apps that do it. Just search "screenshot" in the store.

There is no way, apps can't take screenshots on WP, unless you go way back to WP8, that had Power + Start button combo.

The button on your phone case broke or the internal volume up circuit button? If the volume circuit button broke, that would annoy me to no end. I'd repair or replace the phone.
