I think it would need some sort of active, powered adapter to do the conversion, but has anybody found anything that can do DisplayPort or HDMI to VGA which is confirmed to work with the MS Display Dock AND is available in the UK?

I have HDMI on all my monitors at home, but at work I only have VGA on both, and I'd like to have continuum from my 950 in work at times - Mainly for showing it without using the projector in the boardroom and testing apps/websites

I have a very small hdmi to vga adapter that works fine with my laptop. Unfortunately I don't own a display dock so I can't test it with the phone. I also have a USB-C to VGA adapter that works with some projectors, but with some it doesn't. Also it is interesting that the VGA adapter produces a 4:3 image in the projector (native 1024x768) while the microsoft wireless display adapter produces a 16:9 image.

I have the HDMI version MINIX type c hub, this one is sold out but a search may find one.

MINIX-NEO-C-Type-C-with VGA

*does not work with Microsoft dock, but you were thinking a powered adapter, that would be two power supplies. Get this and leave it at work ;)
