What is the exact error you are having?

I've had a few that I've just had to be patient and try again in a couple hours.

Windows Insider and Lumia Help+ tips keeps saying it needs an update and fails. Been like that since I updated to 10

I had issues with windows insider, I uninstalled, soft reset and downloaded without issue.
