Why wwould you want to slap another rom on your handset just to jump a week or so before?

There's no guarantee a carrier will release it even though technically Microsoft/Nokia supported it and made the software.

That's why Microsoft's 18 month support or whatever doesn't mean a whole lot. It's up to the carriers.
