Apps volume slider missing

I just saw this yesterday and I don't know if it's the new design or a glitch - when I press the volume button, I can see the slider for the ringer and notifications volume. And there should be a down arrow which can also show the apps volume slider. But this one is missing. It doesn't show up, even after a restart.

The apps volume slider only appears if there's actually an app giving sound output. So is this new behaviour or a glitch?

I am not on release preview and as you report you just noticed it yesterday. Looks more like a glitch that a feature. current public build shows both the sliders. Today is patch Tuesday lets see if Microsoft has indeed changed the functioning of the slider officially.
