Are these the unlock codes?

Morning everyone,

I was having some issues with my 1020 and AT&T provided me with the PUK & PUK2 codes. Are these the codes needed to unlock the phone? Just curious...not sure if they were just sim related codes.

A SIM unlock code is different from the PUK and PUK2 codes. The PUK codes come in use when your PIN codes are blocked after three wrong attempts. The SIM unlock code allows your device to use other SIM cards.
