I wife just had to have a new iPhone (yuk) for her birthday, so we went to our local AT&T store to buy one. Both of our lines were eligible for an upgrade and I have been longing for a high-end WP phone to replace my Lumia 920. A Lumia 635 was the only WP on display, so I asked the salesperson if they were expecting new WP phones soon. Her unbelievable reply: "Oh, we never sell those. We have a few other ones but we just keep them in the back."

Unfortunately this isn't that unbelievable or uncommon. It's absolutely absurd how little love Windows Phone gets, no matter what carrier you go to. Normally they outright hate on WP.

I find when I go to a ATT store the company stores are not to bad concerning windows phones, but the independent stores are horrible . There are about 25/30 ATT stores in my area (Baton Rouge). About 10 are company stores and you can get good service and products. From the independents you won't get the time of day.
Me.

I blame Microsoft....they have the financial resources to smartly and aggressively market the Windows Phone but they don't...sometimes it seems like Windows Phone is just a hobby to them, and people wonder why the iPhone sells...Apple knows how to market a product, even though it's inferior to Windows Phone.

You can clearly see the difference with how the Surface Pro 3 has been marketed, still seeing ads on primetime now. WP, not a peep.
