AT&T emergency alerts

I got a tornado alert on Monday, but I didn't notice it until I searched for other messages this morning. It is just a common text and very easy to be ignored, since I always mute my phone during night. Shouldn't the alerts like this be more impressive?

I thought the same. That they should sound even when muted/quiet. I tweeted Joe Belfiore. Perhaps more people should raise this as an issue.
