ATIV Odyssey Random Reboot (issue started with 8.1 DP)

So I installed 8.1 DP on my dad's ATIV Odyssey - since then it has been randomly rebooting. Pretty sure it started after installing the 8.1 through developer preview. Steps taken to remedy this : factory reset and when that did not help, I installed developer preview app again and took the 8.1 GDR1 update and then factory reset it once more. It seemed to help at first (the reboots did not occur for some time), but now it's happening again.

I think this is happening because this phone does not have firmware for the 8.1 - Is there a way back to stock windows phone 8.0?

I don't think there's any way back. I really hope it gets the official update because my mom's is quite buggy after installing 8.1.
