use the gdr2 is not no application is the operator and other operators is the same way and that irritates

Same problem over here.

Bought a Samsung Ativ S in Germany, and had no problems. However, in Brasil, I receive constant notifications from the operator, apparently every time it switches networks (3G-EDGE-HDSPA-GPRS).

Somehow the phone should be able to handle this and ignore this messages...

I had the same issue with my Galaxy S1 when I travelled to Brazil last year.

Hey all

I've had the same problem on my Ativ S here and I think it's solved

I've tried to flash a GDR2 update with a custom CSC that doesn't correspond to Brazil region. I think that's caused the operator send these broadcast messages thinking that I was on other country or something like that. I've the ROM below choosing the ZTO on CSC option and the problem was solved
