Any one else getting long pauses between taking a photo and being able to review the photo or even take another photo?

I'm loaded up with about 6 different lens apps-- have I slowed down my camera's processing speed? Is this normal for Windows Phone 8?

I don't think it was an issue when I first started playing with it.

I would suggest uninstalling the apps one at a time, and see if pause goes away. If it goes away but after all are uninstalled. Install them back one at a time and test, to see who the culprit app is.

Okay, it was not the lenses, it was saving to the SD card that caused the lag.

I uninstalled each lens and took a photo with the same 3-5 second pause between taking shots. Then I turned off wi-fi and Skydrive auto-upload. Same thing. Then, I finally switched from saving photos to the SD card to saving to the phone. From there it was about 1 second before I could take a follow up shot.

Phew! I feel much better now about the whole thing.

Since that issue is resolved and we're on the topic of the camera, I'll ask another question. I'm finding that about half of my pictures come out blurry. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong when I take the picture, or if it's the phone/software. I've used the camera button, pushing partway until focused and then pushing all the way to take the picture, and I've also tapped the screen to focus and take the picture. I get the same results either way. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there some special way of taking pictures with WP8?

I have not noticed a problem with my camera, just that I have shaky hands.

I have not tried the front camera. However, I was talking to a friend who has a WP8 device and I think it has to do with the shutter sound going off earlier than the actual picture being captured. So, either I'm moving or the subject is moving after hearing the shutter sound and the picture is being captured at that moment when the movement is happening. I'll keep playing with this to confirm this is what's happening.

That could be it. I turned off the camera shutter sound by going to settings>ringtones+sounds> uncheck camera shutter. Let us know if that makes a difference!

Not the Neo, but for a while I had out of focus pics on my Nokia 920. Turns out I had it set to Macro mode. Changed it back to Normal/Auto, and it was fine again. Give it a check. If it still persists, what kind of lighting are you shooting a photo in? Bright sunlight, or dim indoor?

Yeah, its not the Macro problem. After turning off the shutter sound I haven't had the issue anymore. So it does appear that the shutter sound goes off a little early. Thanks for the suggestion though.
