Audio Volume Issue

ok so i got the lumia 521... it palys music fine thru the slacker radio.. but when i transfer my music to my phone the music is so quiet i cant hear it... ive transferred to my galaxy s2 and it works fine.. but the lumia is so quiet i can barely hear it. even with headphones in.. is there something im doing wrong?

Does it make any difference if you adjust the audio volume using the volume buttons? What about audio for other things like incoming calls and SMS notifications? Are they also quiet? In case you were not aware, the volume control in Windows Phone is global or system wide and there isn't a separate volume control for music, ringtones, SMS notifications etc. So, the volume may be loud enough when playing a game but barely audible for incoming calls or texts unless we remember to crank up the volume again first.

all the regular sounds.. ringtones and stuff is normal sound... i can go on say,,, slacker radio and it works just fine,, loud music,,, its just when i transfer my music from my desktop to my 521 the sound get so quiet... works fine with my galaxy s2 tho

This might be a little off topic, but my volume toggle switch would only go down and not up. I pulled the batteries out and rebooted it and the volume controls now work.
