Australian 920 Owners, 1314 is rollin' out

Telstra started rolling it out 2 days ago and unbranded devices are getting it today.

I have an unbranded 920 but still haven't got the update yet. Has anyone using an unbranded / unlocked 920 in Australia got the 1314 update after checking for updates ?

According to the Support page on Nokia AU website, the latest official firmware for both the 920 and 820 is 1314 so it would appear both unbranded devices should get it.

Lumia 920 unbranded no update yet. Nokia Australia are a joke. Wish I could email Elop and tell him Nokia Australia are just too slow and the management need sacking.

no problems so far, can't comment on battery life as I'm always installing new apps and as we know they all use juice differently.

I totally agree with you brother! I hear all these great stories of Nokia UK etc bending over backwards for their customers and Nokia Australia are totally the opposite not only that but there customer service isn't even in Australia!! If I wanted to speak to an Indian I'd go to Bangladesh!!!

Nokia NZ is just as bad its only been in the last month we could start buying wireless chargers and shells from NZ shops. Had to buy all my gear online from the states.
Come on Nokia pull ya bloody finger out.

No update on my unbranded 920 yet either :angry:

I had a chat with Nokia Care online late last week and they confirmed that if the firmware is listed on the handset support page (like it is for the AU 820 - Nokia Lumia 820 Support - Nokia - Australia & 920 - Nokia Lumia 920 Support - Nokia - Australia and 1308 for the 720) that it has started rolling out for everyone but as its released in batches, they cannot guarantee when the update will actaully hit our phones. They said as mine is unbranded that I will definitely get the update as its not tied to a carrier but again couldnt say when I would get it.

All they could really suggest was to make sure the phone is set to automatically check and notify for updates which wasnt much help as I'm sure most people are manually checking for updates at least one or twice a day as well as having it set to auto.

Someone also asked on the Nokia AU Facebook page when the update would be released and they also confirmed its rolling out and said if they didnt receive it within 3 weeks to contact their carrier which doesnt help the people with unbranded phones.
