Auto 2g\3g switching app

As the title says. I'm looking for this kind of app. To switch to 3g when i want to use web or facebook etc. And then to auto switch to 2g when i'm not. I think this will increase the battery a lot. And if this kind of app doesn't exist please someone make it because i would definitely pay 5 bucks for this.

I'm not sure developers have that kind of access, because there aren't any programs that can toggle things for you, they just take you to the settings page where you have to DIY.

This is a good concept. Would give excellent battery life.
