Backup SMS text messages before upgrade?

Getting a WP8 today, and while nearly everything on my phone is on the cloud due to the nature of the os, my SMS aren't...


I don't see a way to do this natively, but does anyone know a method, maybe using an app?

Unfortunately that's not possible on WP7 :unhappy:

If you're getting a Nokia use the transfer ny data app to import your messages. However it will only get messages sent to you, not your sent messages but at least its something.

I found that, but it is limited to 500 messages it seems

That's a tough one then, can't think of an easy way to get it done without a lot of manual deletions to get the number down.
