Basic questions from a newbie

Hi Guys,

I'm going to purchase a smart phone, presumably a Windows one. Can you help my please in two basic questions?
1. Do I need any anti virus/internet security applications for a Windows phone (like for the Windows PCs)?
2. If a Windows phone is connected to its home network via WIFI (I'm NOT speaking about remote access via GSM network), can It access the files stored on the Network Attached Storage and another Windows PCs (obviously all PCs having the right sharing settings). When I'm saying access files I mean for instance to edit excel and word files and playing multimedia files located on the NAS.

2. Not out of the box, but there may be an app for that. I haven't checked.
