Battery drain during car navigation.

I'm a new owner of lumia 650. Yesterday I tried Microsoft Maps as navigation in car. Although it navigates well, there is a big issue with battery drain. I've attached my phone to car charger, and my phone discharges quicker than charge during navigation.

I was surprised. My previous Lumia 720, worked properly during navigation. The same my wife's iPhone, both with same charger. But not Lumia 650.

I was big fan of Microsoft Phone OS 8/8.1. But now I'm very disappointed.

I cannot use phone with charger attached. This is ridiculous.

Try a different car charger.

I had this experience with an 8.1 device and swapping to a different charger solved it.

I'd look for one that pushes 5v 2a. I'd also look for the Quick Charge 2.0 certification.

You need to use a dedicated charging cable. Those that can be used as data cable can't be used.
