Battery Life Affected by Certain Apps

I've downloaded the app tag editor on my old phone and my new Icon. After downloading the app both phones saw a dramatic decrease in battery life. They both decreased from 1 day 15 hours estimated battery life to just 15 hours. I've uninstalled the app and done a soft reset and the problem persists. Anyone else have similar issues?

At this point you should try a hard reset, but you should know that certain apps can drain the battery This is a problem on all platforms lol

Yeah but its so weird that it doesn't even come up on battery saver, the battery life just drops.

Yea I get your frustration, but for now that seems like the only option on the table.. Or you can do a few more soft resets and hope it gets back to normal over a few days

I just did one and now my phone won't connect to a Microsoft account...

Check if time/date and region are correct.. and check if text messaging backup is turned on and turn it off

I hard reset twice and it didn't fix it

Might just be a problem with the battery. Bring it in for a checkup

Actually certain apps will slam your battery if you are not careful. It happened to me today with Here Drive+. It caused my phone to overheat and drop the battery from approximately 80% down to 10% in less than an hour. It's happened to me before; this is first time that its happened in quite a long time though.
