Battery Life

I have lumia for more then 2 weeks and i experiance battery drain about 26% per hour.

During the last charge cycle..
1) Wifi was full time on
2) Location service was on for 10 to 20 mins max.
3) Whatsapp was used mostly
4) Web surfing
5) Played Temple run, One run only max 10 to 15 mins
6) Mobile data is completely off
7) Screen rotation is fixed for all time
8) Screen brightness was low for most of the time
9) Background process other then whatsapp, weather and Battery status is off for the apps
10) Battery drain over night was 2% with wifi on

And yet i got 17hours of battery

These are most probably the main contributors to your battery drain, from highest to lowest: #4, #3, #5, #2, the rest are negligible. There's nothing wrong with your phone or battery since the "battery drain overnight was [only] 2%" - that's actually pretty good, better than most phones I know (I'm presuming that you're referring to the change in % battery charge, not that the battery was drained to 2% overnight). Try not using your phone for an hour, just let it stand there doing nothing and see how much the battery % drops.

Depending on which phone you have, 17 hours might even be "acceptable" given that you've used it for surfing, chatting and momentarily playing games. Also, from what % to what % did you measure that 17 hours?

We must begin to accept that the more we use our smart phone the faster the battery gets drained. For this reason, I have never left my house without a portable battery pack.

You may want to get yourself one of those battery packs if you want to maintain your level of activity with your phone and welcome to Windows Central by the way.

First of all thanks for the reply and the info you shared, currently im using lumia 535. Today ill charge it full and then ill let you know how exactly battery behaves. On standby with wifi on i have very stable discharge like 1% to 2% max, but will check again.

And yes totally agree the more we use smartphones the more battery drains. And want to say that windows phone have better memory management then android and i loved coming to windows operating system from android.

You're welcome. I used to have a L535, the dual SIM variant... but if I remember correctly the battery life of the L535 was a lot better than that of my L1020. Please do let us know what you find.

Glad to know that you're liking your Windows Phone experience so far.
