Battery not fully charged

Hello everyone,

It seems to me that my Lumia 1020 hasn't fully charged when it says it has. The last few times I checked my percentage of battery left when charging and it seemed that around the 80% mark, it suddenly jumped to 100% and indicated that it was fully charged. When I pulled the charger out directly after it indicated that it was fully charged, my battery life fluctuated somewhere between the 20-24 hours.

The last few times I decided to experiment a little and when my Lumia 1020 indicated that it was fully charged, I let it charge for another 30-60 minutes ("on top" of the 100%). Frankly, every time I did this, my battery life fluctuated somewhere between the 28-40 hours.

Now, it has to be said that there some days I used my 1020 more then other days, so the battery life dropped/raised a lot in both situations. There's no guarantee that this whole "longer charging for longer battery life" isn't just something that's in my head and does actually work. I was just wondering if this is a known problem. Do other people experience this as well? :)

Hello, I have a 920 and reading your case, several other posts and my own experience, noted that WP lacks of good battery management. In my case sometimes battery discharges very quickly, but otherhand sometimes apparently lasts looong time 'fully' charged. Even, once when charge drops near 10%, I turned it off and when turned on, surprise: charge climbed up to 50%. Quite weird. Hope MS corrects this kind of issues in the near future.

Yes. MS is planing on have a better battery management. Also, it could be that your battery is not calibrated correctly.
