AT&T's non-LTE network is still 3G because they only have HSPA+14 or 21 unlike 42 like what T-mobile has.

I don't have any issues with Verizon 3G. Streaming YouTube isn't a problem unless you want to watch HD. I know AT&T has faster 3G speeds, but the service I get with Verizon is more reliable for me.

I've had no problems with HD even on my old HD7 which was a 3G device. I don't know why CDMA carriers didn't bother with upgrading to EVDO Rev.B even tho all the newer devices support it. That would've provided a better transition for non-LTE devices and non LTE areas.

Laura: reading the specs on the iPhone 5 it looks like it can play mp4 video if I'm reading correctly.
Eric: I think t-mobile has a faster 3G speed than Verizon. I can watch HQ all day but for HD I have to be on WiFi or LTE. I don't know why Verizon hasn't upgraded their 3G any, but I'm ok with it. The slower speed is the only real weakness it has. Most newer phones can do voice and data on 3G and LTE like AT&T, that is except the iPhone 5.

I didn't get to watch any of the show today, so I really can't say much about the devices. I do think it's interesting that BB appears to be getting more carrier support than WP. I wish Nokia would have went the same route and put their premium phone on every carrier.
