Best Note Taking App

To all those saying OneNote is best, I wonder if I'm missing something.

OneNote is OK (for me) but a critical aspect it seems to be missing is the ability to organise notes into notebooks (like I can in Evernote - e.g. I'd like to create DIY, recipes notebooks etc). You can't even do that in the Onenote web app - again, as far as I can tell - I guess it's only available in the full program? I'd prefer to use onenote on my phone as then I can access it under my MS login, but Evernote seems more flexible/powerful.

If I am missing something here, could someone let me know?!

I will say that nothing beats one note on a Windows 8. On the mobile side, the ipad version is the best, followed by Windows Phone, ios iPhone version, and the Android version is total crap. On my Android LG-G2 I am now using Evernote.

you can use awesome note
you can send notes via sms or e-mail
and you can lock your note folders
you can assign a password to specific note folder, note whole application

you can sync your notes with OneDrive
