Best setting for using two phones?

Any suggestion on settings for having 2 phones with one account/one number? I did the impossible and broke my screen on my 920... I'm going to fix it myself but while waiting I'm going to use a lumia 520. I'm not sure if I should turn some of the backup features on, on the 520 (I would think text backup and photos wouldn't cause a problem). I'm concerned that some apps won't be able to install, and then if I reload my 920 those apps won't automatically install because the last backup taken was from the 520.

Does anybody use 2 phones? Any tips? I'm hoping to use the 520 as a music player once my 920 is fixed.

I would think, and I'm only guessing here, that you might be able to restore texts and pix from the 920 to the 520, but you wouldn't want to back up the 520 as you plan to put the 920 back in service. I would think that restoring the minimum you need would be the best plan. Maybe someone else will have more experience with this particular situation. I picked up a 520 for a media player as well and it's a great little device.
