Bing News alerts aren't working

Is anyone experiencing this problem?
I tried reinstalling the app. But none works.
I am eager to get those notifications in my action center. please help

Since you mentioned the action center, I'm assuming you're running 8.1 DP.

If you go to settings, to notifications + actions, and scroll down, you can verify that News is ON for action center.

No news alerts since the first day with this app

How long have you had the phone? There are very few "News Alerts" from Bing News. I think the first one I've seen this month was yesterday or the day before about LeBron James signing to play basketball in Cleveland. Not really worth an alert in my opinion. I sometimes wonder who decides what is important news and what is not.

Also, you didn't mention it, but where you are located will probably affect "alerts."

When I said the first day I meant work the app not the phone.
I'm in Saudi Arabia, but when open the app I can see some red texts on some news.

Thanks for the replies. I am using my lumia 520 since nov 2013. I got one news alert a few months back. But I couldn't see any after installing windows phone 8.1 dp. i dont think my location is affecting the alerts. This app surely needs an update for windows phone 8.1.

When I suggested that your location may affect whether or not Bing delivers news alerts... It would make me nuts if Bing alerted me of tornadoes in Central US states and would make them nuts if it alerted them of wildfires in my backyard (California). Likewise, American sports news might be important to Americans, but not everyone around the world (nor here, for that matter) cares about American football... and on and on.
