Bios A03 update

I just updated to this bios. I think it was released a couple of days ago. Now my venue is flying! It is unbelievably fast. It easily blows by my Lumia 2520. Please share your experience with this update.

New drivers for the Intel stuff were posted yesterday as well. Not sure what they do.

If you want to make it even faster make sure the ssd drive settings are at their fastest in the bios. They are set to lower speeds by default.

I think they're trying to get Miracast to work properly, since users have finally gotten Miracast working. Not sure what other improvements were made.

I looked in the BIOS and didn't see anything related to this... Where is the setting you are referring to?

First time WPC reader. Just received my DVP 8 64gb couple days ago. Thanks for the BIOS update heads-up, giving this a whirl now. Albeit thought it was already quite fast

Make sure you are not updating from an SD card but rather from the internal storage.

is that a big deal? Did you make it faster by using custom settings?

Yes there were advanced settings to put the onboard eMMC drive into a faster mode, and also use a 2x faster mode for the SD drive. The SD drive setting caused some SD disks to not work reliably, but both settings definitely sped things up overall. The removed the "advanced' menu from the BIOS altogether.
