Nokia says existing Lumia handsets will be pimped out with new features, gives the juicy details

All these will be rolled out gradually in phases, and will eventually reach all Nokia Lumia 610, 710, 800 and 900 owners, who might have felt left out in the cold with Microsoft's decision to completely rewrite Windows Phone for the new WP8 handsets, to match the kernel with the one used for its Windows franchise.

This is definitely stuff that Samsung and HTC can do, but signs point to them not doing so. And again this underscores why Nokia is the preferred choice for WP users, and not just how big the screen is.
