Blank Photo - simply black box

If anyone can shed some light on this it would be great.

I transferred quite a few pictures to my surface, placed them in directories in the photo's directory through a USB stick.

70% of them came across just fine, but other show as a black box in the photo viewer. When I check the directory in the desktop the pictures are all there, and the thumbnail view is also correct showing the picture, but if I double click the thumbnail it again launches the picture viewer and all I see is a black box where my picture should be.

Any ideas? (All the pictures are JPG format from the same camera)

Yeah had a similar problem. I let it sit there for a while assuming they were loading and then restarted. Worked after that

Same issue with the microSD Card. You want to reindex your libraries.
