Hey guys, I'm hoping a few others have had this problem I'm running into here. I have a Monster Micro Bluetooth speaker and use it to play music from Xbox Music and other apps on my Surface RT at work. Sometime after the 8.1 update the speaker has been consistently failing to produce full, clear audio unless I reboot the Surface.
For example, every day when I get to work I power on the speaker and open the Surface's keyboard to wake it up. The speaker goes through it's little start-up routine and informs me that it is connected, however when I go to Xbox Music to play a song it sounds like it's coming out of an old phonograph. Then, I restart the Surface and Xbox Music, magically making the speaker sound beautiful once again. This does not work in reverse (reboot speaker and leave Surface running), I must reboot the Surface to get the audio to work again.
I've tried to update the drivers on the speaker and there was no improvement. I've updated to the Spring Windows RT 8.1 update in hopes that it would fix that but to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution with their Bluetooth audio device?
