Bright Spot

So I noticed today when I had a blank white screen that in about the center there is a bright spot. It is not apparent or visible with anything but a white screen. I've seen something similar appear on my 8X, only it was bigger on that phone. Is this normal with cheaper LCD panels / phones or is this something I should be concerned with?

It was popular with the 920, I have no idea about 640XL. I have a 920 and have the problem, but it appeared after like 2 years. I read that it's about some sort of glue inside...Since the 640XL is new, I assume it's still under warranty. So, my advice is to send it back for replacement right away.

Thanks. Unfortunately im in the U.S. and bought an international version from an E-bay seller. The consensus seems to be that Microsoft will not honor the Manufacturers warranty. I may be stuck, and have to just keep an eye on it.

Mine is only in one small spot but looks like the same issue. It doesn't bother me, but I don't want it to grow either.

Try to change the display to vivid .

I changes both brightness and color temp, neither made a notable difference.

Go to nokia care to fix it, or replace it.

I sent an I query to Windows Phone Support to determine if they will honor the 1 year warranty.

Well, pretty much what we all figured, but now confirmed. Microsoft informed me that they do not warranty international phones. So far the spot is not bad or terribly noticeable, hope it stays that way. Good luck to those that are starting to have similar problems.
