Brightness problem??

So whenever I put my phone on "automatic" brightness, it seems to stay at the lowest setting..even in bright sunlight, it stays dim and I don't see the screen well! If I manually set it to "high" brightness, the screen becomes ultra bright, very nice.

Anyone else facing this??

I tried my phone yesterday during an auto show and everytime I would take my phone off my pocket I could see an increase in brightness and (I would guess decrease) in contrast making it really easy to read.

I was also playing with the auto brightness settings turning it on and off a couple of times before

You have to combine auto with one of the 3 brightness levels.

Turn off auto brightness, change it to high, and turn on auto again.

Sorry this hasn't fixed it..i set it to high then auto and the problem persists (reverts to dimmest setting).

Restarting phone fixed it for about 20 minutes then it became dim again.

Thoughts??
